Since I'm on slow this morning, I'll have to post without seeing the pictures. Here goes.
God bless us all!
We started out to our sister-in-law's funeral. It was stressful, but we made it. God was with us.
Sometimes people have crashes and die and we wonder why, and though we cry, we trust, because God knows.
The semi in the top pic was being removed from the ditch on the way home.
My 'Splashes' page of the week.
May God keep and bless His people and deal with those who would harm for their own benefit and gain. AMEN
So far winter has been dreary in this part of the country. It tends to dampen moods, I think. Sadness happens and
there is happy too. Our sister-in-law followed her husband to the grave a couple months later. It was
unexpected and the family is reeling. If you think about it pray for them. The last time all of us were together
was in 2018 at a niece's wedding. Didn't know it would be the last time. Three of them are gone. Not forgotten.
This dreary weather takes a toll, I think, but thank God for the little (big) ones who cheer us up!
For awhile I couldn't even take pictures because my right hand didn't work. I have a lot to be thankful for. I said last time I was rejected from
being a member of an exclusive writer's club. Someone invited me and someone else didn't think my life measured up so.........that is life.
I don't like exclusive anyways. There are too many churches, clubs and people who think they are the only people in Narnia and don't
realize they are in a stinky stable. It's human nature, but we don't have to conform to that mindset. I don't want to be high minded either.
At first I thought this cat had no tail but then I noticed it had a permanent curl!
These are a heritage breed of turkeys. We want to hatch some of them and eat them too. They grow pretty slow.
I love watching what the trail camera sees.
There is my 'Splashes' page of the week. May God send His children hugs!
I had some fun with pictures this week. May your life be blessed with some fun, for without it the heart grows heavier.
There are things that fly by at night! My trail cam saw it.
I think it's actually a dog wraith. I saw a black big dog with glowing eyes on the cam later.

I was once told (years ago) I wasn't good enough to be in exclusive writer's club. I got even, didn't I? Good thing they don't have to read my poetry and look at
my pictures! I just have so much fun with a compulsion to make things rhyme. Sorry! You can go away and stay there if you don't like it.
A January birthday happened.
My 'Splashes' page for the week.
Till next week...May God bless all His good people who don't live in crooked houses!
How fast the time flies. Lord me be wise! Amen.
I was behind a couple in the self checkout line. I would say they were close to my age? When the total rang up the man looked at me
and exclaimed, 'J** B**** did this to us!!' I nodded my head. I said something to the effect that God takes care of it, in the end.
'God won't do anything about it!' he fired back. 'I think He does, in the end,' I replied. His wife said thank you as she walked away.
It does seem a little scary that God waited so many years and then only Noah and his family were saved and Lot's family was just
barely saved. His wife was turned into salt and his daughter were wicked from living in such a wicked place and yet, God was
faithful, even if it was after people passed on, they know now. Their faith became sight. So we hang on and trust, because we must!
A few more January thoughts and stuff. We played BINGO on Christmas eve and enjoyed small gifts. I like a laid back Christmas
season when we aren't in Florida. I prefer going south in the off season.
A few January past collages.
I suppose someone needed a roll of TP?! Disgusting.
A 'Splashes' page for you.
In case I forgot to tell you, Happy New Year! God bless us all!
The birds were like little fluff balls during the very cold time. I enjoyed seeing them but felt sorry for them too.
I'm glad God cares for us and the birds. We can rest in the shelter of His Hand.
I have some Christmas pictures too but the birds are fun to see, so I feature some of them. I also have gold finches.
I just didn't see them as much during the cold. I discovered that woodpeckers are the most bossy of all.
The chickadees are the sweetest, I think.
I noticed the woodpeckers slide down the pole sometimes, like a firefighter.
I think this is a red-bellied woodpecker.
These squirrels look more like chipmunks in size. We have bigger ones, but these teeny ones scamper around here too.
That one is the boss of all. It doesn't come around as often but it's long beak is a serious weapon!
And here is a birthday picture. December birthdays get mixed in with Christmas.
And my 'Splashes' page of the week.
It's a dangerous world we live in, but God. May He keep us safe from harm.
A few scattered thoughts for whoever is visiting. I always enjoy the Christmas songs and stories. The stories of Jesus get
sweeter every year. A few pictures from a program my grandchildren were in.
And then we ate lunch with this bunch.
My 'Splashes' page of the week.
Oh, by the way! I discovered who raids yellow jacket hives during the winter! I didn't get a really good picture, because I was inside and didn't want to scare him away.
God bless you with a wonderful week!
I found some phone pictures this week, that got forgotten in the tech.
I also was reading back over some stuff and
thought I'd explain to you the man who would be mayor, living in Dad's old milk house. His first name was Dale. I heard
a local radio station talking about him and he was actually trying to run for mayor of Elkhart. Don't know if he even
got on the ballot. Since he was so close, we babysat his horse sometimes. Stranger things in life? That was one of them.
I often wondered what people thought of the sign on his buggy that read, 'Fighting communism since ?' I forget the year,
but it was a long time ago. He told us when he went to civil war re-enactments, if he got hot and tired, he would lie
down on the ground, acting dead, till he got rested enough to 'fight' again.
But to the forgotten and misc. pics on phones, (mine & Honey's) here we go.
Always fun to see what little people do with phones.
This was on Honey's phone from Strawberry, AZ, where they were trying to find evidence of Big Foot.
It can be an optical illusion of sorts too.
This was our girls trip to CA. Fun times. Memories made.
Most of these were on Honey's phone and I don't check them very often.
That was a real spider on the porch this year. He was frozen in position.
That was a trail cam picture that tickled me. They eat apples that we throw in and sometimes there are yellow jackets on them.
This plant has bloomed every year since Lee's mom left for heaven, thanks to one of her grandsons.
And another 'Splashes' page.
May God bless your week with good thing and good people. Lord keep us safe from evil, I pray. Amen
