I like to add words to my pictures. It saves me time in explaining them. :D

The burrowing owls at Cape Coral are so cute! I wonder if cats are a problem for them?

We fished our favorite pier. It seems to me they have old people who have nothing to do on some of these piers, watching for fishermen to

make a mistake so they can report us. Seriously! It's annoying and creepy. We were on the Fort Myer's pier when my grandson moved a pelican

with his foot and a two old people started going on and on about how it's not the pelican's fault and stop being mean to it. She was telling me how she's

credentialed to save pelicans. I waved her off and said, 'I don't even want to hear it.' My youngest grandson said in an outraged voice, 'Grandma! I know

who she is! She's a Karen!' I laughed so hard. He was exactly right, although I don't think she knew what a Karen was. :D Let me educate you. The

pelicans are opportunists who know what fishermen get on the end of the lines! They want a free lunch! All we need is some woke old people who

think they know everything! Pelicans have to be shooed away! It's not mean to move them away. Can you tell it still makes me aggravated?!

There's my 'Splashes of Sunlight' page of the week. I enjoy doing these better than the 'Laughter' ones.

  • The burrowing owls were my favorite. :)

  • I just read your last 3 posts. My TX daughter visited for 3 weeks, and we were So Busy with family visiting, etc. We had a wonderful time though. Now I'm a bit lonesome, but we FaceTime often. I'm OK, aside from tripping on a curb and falling one evening. God kept me from breaking anything. I went to my favorite chiropractor today, and will go back again Mon. I hadn't seen him for about 6 months, as I was doing so well before the fall. God bless you this Eastertime. He is risen!
